sh-Oligopeptide-113 SP Amide is a single chain human peptide produced synthetically to be identical to a portion of the protein, Pro-Opiomelanocortin, and contains 19 amino acids consisting of arginine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, tryptophan and tyrosine in which the C-terminus is an amide. The parent protein contains a maximum of 267 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. It consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
