sh-Oligopeptide-187 SP Amide is a single chain human peptide produced synthetically to be identical to a portion of the protein, Acidic Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, and contains 15 amino acids consisting of asparagine, cysteine, glycine, histidine, leucine, lysine, phenylalanine, proline, serine and tyrosine, in which the C-terminus is an amide. The starting gene is a synthesized copy of the human gene that codes for Acidic Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, and is used as such. It contains a maximum of 155 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. It consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
