sh-Oligopeptide-127 SP is a single chain human peptide produced synthetically to be identical to a portion of the protein, Mitochondrial-derived peptide MOTS-c, and contains 16 amino acids consisting of arginine, glutamic acid, glutamine, glycine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, tryptophan and tyrosine. Mitochondrial-derived peptide MOTS-c contains a maximum of 16 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. It consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
