rh-Polypeptide-92 is a single chain recombinant human peptide, produced by fermentation in HEK 293 cells. The starting gene which is isolated from a human cell and codes for Growth Differentiation Factor 11 is used as such or adapted to the production host. It contains a maximum of 407 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. The protein consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
