In cosmetics, POLYGLYCERIN-10 is used as a humectant and skin-conditioning ingredient. A humectant helps hold water in the outermost layer of the skin; in everyday use, that role can support a less dry feel and a softer finish from the product.
The evidence located discusses polyglycerol as a platform for cosmetic ingredients, including humectants, but it does not show that isolated POLYGLYCERIN-10 treats skin changes. One study examined polyglyceryl-10 caprylates, which are caprylic-acid derivatives rather than POLYGLYCERIN-10 itself, so its findings cannot be presented as the same benefit for this ingredient.
